A month into school and Rudy's class is still the best part of the week. Even though I'm learning stuff in all my classes, his is the class where everything we do just feels useful. Perspective, anatomy, composition, life drawing – his explanations always make perfect sense, and I can feel myself getting better with each assignment.
At the end of class yesterday, Rudy came over while I was packing up my stuff and handed me this:
I didn't notice if he handed these to anyone else in class, but it really doesn’t matter – even if he did, that’s just more people for me to beat. Because I am gonna win this, both for the prize money and to show Rudy that he was right to recommend that I enter.
I've been getting better so fast, even the stuff I was doing right before school started won't show off everything I'm capable of. I'll make time this weekend to work on a new entry so I can get it in right before the deadline.
